There are many important days in our life; however, some days are revered than others. As humans, some things can be avoided while some days are totally unavoidable. Either we want it or not; this day will surely come. Everything will definitely end in a day for humans; however, what is important is the type of life we lived. What legacy do you propose to leave behind? In all that we do, it is essential that we live a life that will be remembered for good. Heroes go, but the lives they lived make them remembered by many. Let’s find out how you can create a picture in words to make people remember you.
One of those thoughts that have continuously haunt me or, let me say, has become a priority in mind is “Legacy.” A day will come in our life; we don’t love to talk about it as humans; however, it will surely come. It is a day when everyone gets to leave this world. It really does not matter how old we might live; we are all wired to die. It is sad to the hearing, but we will die one day. I could remember one of those moments in my life I find so emotional. It was my Grandma on her sickbed; she was looking lean, sick and now what remains of her is the shadow of her real self.
Create a Picture with Words
I can feel mixed emotions on her face; she was happy because she is dying and getting her freedom from sickness as she has been sick for a long time. And on the other hand, she is sad because she would not be alive anymore for any moment to see and hold her loved ones. Some days later, Grandma passed away, and everyone in the house was sad, and you could feel the change in the atmosphere in my home. She has a loving soul, full of warmth and so caring. It was not even up to a day before we felt this part of her missing in the house. No family function or special occasion would come that Grandma will not be missed.
However, one of those things that made her unforgettable in the home was a personalized photo gift my dad has gifted her on Christmas Day. My dad went so much back in time as he used some of her pictures while she was young. The Art in the picture was so beautiful that her younger days feel like yesterday to her. Before her demise, she held these gifts closer to herself and wouldn’t spend a day without checking them out.
Personalized Photo Gift
These gifts were not only useful for Grandma but also to us after she left. It is one of the best things that we onto as a way of remembering her. She was a heroine to me, and I love how Dad turn words into pictures to present to her as a gift because I had the chance to see my hero every day. I felt her closer even though she was no more, and the memories of our moment together kept on replaying in my subconscious every day.
We need to understand that it does not matter how good and great you might be. People will only get to remember you every day only when you are still alive. The moment you ceased to live, then your memory in people’s head begins to fade. What we determine how long you will be remembered is how impacting the life you lived, the legacy you left behind, the number of people that love you, and a number of things around to make people remember you. You can help your older loved ones to leave a mark on the sand of time by turning words into their pictures. How many people do you think had died and people forgot?
Creating a Picture in Words
Great heroes that we still remember today continue to live on in our hearts because we have things that we can see as evidence of their existence. That’s exactly what this beautiful work of art does for anyone. It provides something people can hold onto so they can remember you even though you are gone. All this might sound weird to the hearing, but it’s the truth we must face; we won’t be here forever. Also, it might seem useless to you; however, there is an older adult around you. And one of the best things you can do for them is immortalizing their memories by creating a picture in words for them.
The best gift you can give older people around you do not have to be the most expensive gift around. They just have to love it because, for someone that has lived on earth for a long time, some gifts might seem invaluable. However, creating a picture with words for them will definitely touch their heart. If you want to make it so special, you can be like my dad by selecting different pictures for the person. He selected some of my Grandma’s pictures while she was young. He also added some pictures of some important days in her life.
Personalized Photo Gifts
For example, some of the pictures feature the one she took with my Dad at his graduation, her pictures with Grandpa, the ones she took personally, and the last one that really touched my grandma was her wedding picture. It took some time and effort before my dad could get his hands on them; however, it was worth the stress. The way she brimmed with Joy when she saw them as words were so wonderful.
She could not hold back the tears, and she eventually left everyone feeling emotional. You can also replicate the same thing for someone you love. It is not about the personalized photo gift but about the impression it will leave on the recipient. Give them a gift that will make you see that joy radiates on their face. I live you with this final note “The best gift does not have to cost you a lot of money, it might not be expensive, but it needs to touch the heart.”
